Winner — Stevie Awards, International Business Award, 2015
AdlensFocuss was named the winner of a Gold Stevie at the 2015 International Business Awards, taking home the highest honour in the ‘Best New Consumer Product’ category.
The product received consistently high average scores over a two month judging period that involved over 200 renowned executives worldwide, with final comments including “A simple and so much needed solution, great!” and “The score is 10 – I am one of those who struggle with glasses, so I know exactly how this innovative product can change the lives of many people.”
Honourable Mention — Red Dot Awards
Adlens Adjustables was awarded with an Honourable Mention at the 2014 Red Dot Design Awards in the Product Design category.
Dating back to 1955, the prestigious Red Dot Awards rank among some of the biggest and most renowned competitions in the world. Forty international design experts evaluated 4,815 entries from 53 countries, and only the very best products were bestowed with the much sought-after award for design excellence.
Adlens Adjustables received an Honorable Mention in Product Design, for particularly well-executed aspects of design work, and participated in an impressive special exhibition from July 8 to August 3, 2014, at the Red Dot Design Museum, Essen.
Winner — iF Design Awards, 2014
Adlens is proud to announce that, out of 3,249 entries, their variable focus eyewear Adlens Adjustables have been honored with an iF Product Design Award 2014. Entered in the category Medicine / Health + Care, Adlens Adjustables were evaluated by the jury considering criteria such as design quality, finish, choice of materials, degree of innovation, environmental impact, functionality, ergonomics, visualization of intended use, safety, brand value and branding, and aspects of universal design. Adlens Adjustables were presented together with the other winners at the first iF design exhibition, in Hamburg, on February 28, 2014.
Winner — Golden Bridge Awards, 2013
Two Adlens variable focus products were named as gold winners at the 2013 Golden Bridge Awards. Adlens Adjustables took gold in the Healthcare Products and Services category, and The John Lennon™ Collection was awarded gold in the Lifestyle, Beauty and Fashion category. The Golden Bridge Awards are an annual industry and peer recognition program honoring Best Companies of all types and sizes, Best Products, Innovations, Management and Teams, Women in Business and the Professions, and PR and Marketing campaigns from all over the world.

Adlens, the global leader in variable focus eyewear, was named a winner of the 2013 NIKKEI Smart Design Award, receiving second place for the design of its Emergensee collection. The NIKKEI Smart Design Award recognizes advancements in Smart Design and honors companies with inventive designs that connect daily living and future innovation. NIKKEI Design is the most famous and prestigious publication among designers and marketers in Japan.
Winner — Edison Awards, 2013
Adlens, the global leader in variable focus eyewear, won the bronze for the Lifestyle & Social Impact category at the prestigious Edison Awards. The winning product was Adlens Emergensee, which achieved third place, and The John Lennon™ Collection also made it to the finals.
Winner — LOHAS Design Award, 2012
Hemisphere® was the grand prize winner of the LOHAS Design Award 2012. Presented by the LOHAS Club and Japan’s Ministry of the Environment, the subject of the award was “Social Design.” Hemisphere was recognized for its philanthropic design roots and its association with Vision for a Nation as the product with the most potential to create social change.
Winner — Asian Innovation Awards, 2011
Presented by the Wall Street Journal in a prestigious award ceremony in Hong Kong in November 2011, Adlens was presented with the Gold Award for our Emergensee glasses by the Right Honourable Sir John Major, former Prime Minister of the UK. The Awards, sponsored by Credit Suisse, recognizes innovations that break with conventional processes in creative ways. Credit Suisse also donated one pair of Emergensee glasses to every guest attending the award ceremony — over 250 people.
Winner — Good Design Award, 2011
Adlens was announced the winner of the global Good Design Award for our Adlens Emergensee and Hemisphere products. The global Good Design Award, run by the Industrial Design Promotion Organization of Japan, recognizes strong product design, communication design, and design development. The 2011 Award assessed 3,162 entries worldwide.
Finalist — Global INDEX Awards, 2011
In September 2011, Adlens was shortlisted for the Global INDEX Awards for our Adlens Emergensee glasses. This Danish organization recognizes global examples of innovative design ideas that improve human life. As a shortlisted entry, Adlens was entered into a design tour of 12 countries where our products were exhibited in prestigious public spaces. Over 10 million people around the world visited these exhibitions.
